about

One of the first tunes that Bill wrote - actually as a class project for a college jazz class with Al Hamme. It is a melody based on the chord changes of "I've Got Rhythm."

Al sent his college big band to Puerto Rico during spring break and did not accompany them. It was a risky move, and fortunately there were no incarcerations. However, the keys to the university van were lost upon return to the States. It was the ingenuity of an unnamed trombonist who knew how to hot wire the van. This is Bill's memory of the event, with no (piano) keys.

This one was recorded in Bill's home town of Owego NY in 2009.
